Start-ups weren’t very popular in India back when Zuckerberg launched Facebook. With the recent start-up boom in India, he would probably still have been successful in creating his own business right here, but what would it have been?
There are 10 typically Indian things that Mark Zuckerberg would have faced if he were an Indian. We would probably be still using Orkut and the world would have been a better place without those annoying Candy Crush and Farmville requests. The world would have been very different.
Things that would happen if Mark Zuckerberg was born in India
He’d be working with a tech company in Bangalore or Ahemdabad, waiting for an onsite to boast of a foreign trip. Because that would increase the chances of finding a better bride and becoming a team leader soon!
Facebook wouldn’t exist and teenagers would lead a peaceful life. No selfies would be posted and you would certainly not have to like your friend’s photography page.
He would have completed his B.Tech from IIT and his ultimate aim would be to work for Google, Apple, or Microsoft.
He would spend his childhood attending one tuition class after another. His parents would never let him pursue anything other than engineering.
We would still be using Orkut. Gifs on scraps and cool fonts would still be the most popular things ever.
A world without Candy Crush and Farmville requests, because no Facebook! No notifications, no scrolling back and forth to stalk your crush, imagine what you could have done with all that time.
With no Facebook in sight, the average productivity of the world would increase and the average depression of world would decrease!
After completing his degree from IIT, he would probably get into IIM and end up becoming a bestselling author.
If not Facebook he would have been the founder of faceyourbook.com – an online coaching institute to crack all competitive exams in India.
He probably still would have founded Facebook. There has been a string of successful Indian start-ups of late, and if he were born in India, he’d still have created Facebook.
